- Name: What you call the document. You can call the PDF anything up to 240 characters. If you click on the name the 1-page SafetySnap will show up.
- Hazard Symbol: The WHMIS symbol associated with the hazard identified on the data sheet. Makes the hazards easily identifiable to users.
- Hazard Statement: The WHMIS standardized phrases about the hazards of the products you use. Allows for universal recognition of the hazards caused by the product. Note that if there is more than one hazard identified in the SDS, all hazards will show up here under the same document name.
- Hazard Class: The WHMIS standardized grouping to describe the nature of the hazard.
- Signal Word: The WHMIS standard signal word for that specific hazard. Products may have multiple hazard statements, each with their own signal words. Allows users to review products by associated signal word. ie - Danger
