
The Regulatory - OELs page lists all the ingredients with regulated Occupational Exposure Limits (OELs), and the products they are found in.
- CAS Number: The unique number assigned to each ingredient by the Chemical Abstract Service.
- Ingredient: The name of the component of the product regulated.
- Datasheet: Click on this link to download the safety data sheet for the product. Allows easy access to the full product information for cross-reference.
- Name: What you call the document. This is the same as the name of the PDF file. You can call the PDF anything up to 240 characters. If you click on the name the 1-page summary will show up.
- “TWA” or “Time-Weighted Average Limit”: Average airborne concentration of the ingredient to which a worker may be exposed to in a work day or work week.
- “STEL” or “Short-Term Exposure Limit”: Maximum airborne concentration of the ingredient to which a worker may be exposed. - in any 15-minute period, -no more than four times during an eight hour work shift, and - with at least one hour between exposures.
- “Ceiling Limit”: Maximum airborne concentration of the ingredient to which a worker may be exposed at any time.
